Hunter Horne

Hunter Horne’s practice primarily involves workers’ compensation defense, as well as general insurance defense and appellate work.

A native of Meridian, Mississippi, Hunter received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law, graduating magna cum laude.  While in law school, Hunter served as a legal extern for the Honorable Chief Justice William Waller, Jr. of the Mississippi Supreme Court.  He also served as a legal extern for the Mississippi Legislature Joint Committee on Performance Evaluation and Expenditure Review.  Prior to law school, Hunter worked as a Policy Assistant for the Mississippi House of Representatives.

Hunter has been designated a Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” and a Mid-South Super Lawyer “Rising Star.”  He was selected as the 2022 ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section, Workers’ Compensation and Employer Liability Law Rising Star. He was selected as one of the Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 business leaders for 2023. He is a Board Member of the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Educational Association Steering Committee as well as the Workers’ Compensation Section’s Kids’ Chance Mediation Board.
