Andy has many years of experience in the areas of commercial real estate and estate administration matters, as well as nonprofit governance, regulatory compliance, agricultural issues, and small business matters.
Before coming to Wells Marble, Andy was general counsel and executive director of Revitalize Mississippi, Inc., where he led the nonprofit’s efforts to clean up vacant and abandoned properties in Jackson, Mississippi, and helped strengthen neighborhoods most impacted by abandonment. He worked together with government agencies, philanthropic foundations, community organizations such as churches and nonprofits, businesses, and neighborhood residents to clean up more than 750 properties in Jackson, including more than 200 demolitions.
Prior to working with Revitalize Mississippi, he worked as an associate attorney with another firm focusing on transactional real estate and representing clients nationwide in timberland and commercial transactions from contract to closing. Notable projects included a Mississippi retail development for a major mall developer, utilizing tourism-based tax incentives, and collaborating with senior partners on timber transactions, 16th section land, and estate administration matters. He also provided regulatory compliance guidance in the agricultural and timber industries, drafted property lease agreements for a national bank, and advised small business owners in the restaurant and food sectors. Additionally, he supported nonprofit organizations with corporate governance and government relations, broadening his legal expertise and impact.
