Stuart Robinson, Jr., is a seasoned trial attorney with substantial experience in defending commercial transportation claims, industrial accidents, medical malpractice claims, coverage issues, product liability claims, pharmaceutical claims and insurance defense issues.  With nearly 30 years of legal expertise, Stuart has extensive experience at both the trial and appellate levels, having tried more than 40 cases to verdict in both state and federal court. 
 
  • Recently obtained Defense Verdict in a medical malpractice case.  The trial, which lasted seven days, was held in Hinds County Circuit Court, where Stuart Robinson, Jr., was lead counsel.  The Plaintiff claimed damages as the result of an alleged failed orthopaedic surgical procedure allegedly resulting in amputation and asked the jury to award $5,000,000.  The jury rejected the Plaintiff's view of the evidence and found the defendant doctor and his clinic without fault.  No appeal was sought.
  • Retained as primary counsel for 4 of Mississippi’s most catastrophic industrial accidents, including:
              -  Explosion of a rubber processing plant in Vicksburg,
                 MS involving multiple deaths, injuries and property
                 damage in 2002, involving both MS and TN
                 litigation.     
              -  The collapse of a 2,000 ft. television tower in 1997,
                 involving multiple deaths, injuries and property
                 damage.
              -  Pipeline rupture in Meridian, MS in 2008 resulting in
                 gas explosion involving multiple deaths, personal
                 injuries, and property damage, involving both MS
                 and TX litigation.
              -  Oil tank explosion in Smith County, MS, involving
                 multiple deaths and injuries in 2006.
  • Retained as counsel for defense in the largest Federal Civil RICO Action brought in Mississippi by insurance commissioners of several states arising out of Martin Frankel matter
  • Retained as insurance coverage counsel in connection with oil well blowout in Wayne County, MS
  • Retained as counsel for defense in connection with down-the-hole pipeline issue on oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico 
  • Retained as counsel for defense in numerous cases involving PCB (polychlorinated biphenyls) contamination and exposure
  • Retained as defense counsel for numerous cases alleging Dioxin exposure, retaining as expert toxicologist who investigated dioxin poisoning of Ukrainian president, Viktor Yushchenko
  • Retained as defense counsel for numerous cases involving wrongful death, brain damage, quadriplegia, and paraplegia
