On January 27, 2011, Thomas M. Louis and Kenna L. Mansfield, Jr. obtained a defense verdict on behalf of their client, a national retailer, after a three-day trial in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. The case involved a Plaintiff who sustained injuries and other damages when he slipped and fell in a substance that leaked from a trash bag being carried through the store by an employee of the retailer. A motion for new trial was filed by the Plaintiffs and recently denied by the District Court Judge.
